Karen Claffey (middle name Heaven) is a licensed Manual Osteopath who graduated top of her class with Academic Distinction. She is also a Certified Yoga Teacher, and Certified Yoga Therapist specializing in structural and subtle alignment, and restorative yoga.
Karen's passion and purpose is to discover and master different methods to relieve pain for a wide range of conditions. She is founder-creator of Structural Alignment Therapy, and The Lymphatic Balancing Sequence - a powerful healing technique for lymphatic, sinus and respiratory issues.
Karen's background includes:
- host-creator of Integrated Health 4 You RADIO SHOW (2014 / Inspired Choices);
- host-creator of her Montreal cable TV series, Yoga with Karen (2004 / Canal Vox);
- co-host of Quebec fitness star, Josée Lavigueur’s yoga video, Initiation au Yoga (2003);
- author-publisher of her vegan cookbook, Fast & Fun Food (1996);
- host-creator her Montreal cable TV vegan cooking show, Karen's Kitchen (1994-5 / CFCF).

The Structural Alignment Yoga Therapy course includes basic yoga postures and essential exercises that anyone can do. These therapeutic exercises can be incorporated into any form of movement or exercise regime, including yoga, fitness, Pilates, and sports. The yoga postures and exercises in this course are taught with biomechanically optimal Therapeutic Alignment Principles that transform pain to pain free. While the course title says 'Yoga" Therapy, this is mainly to distinguish from this course from the 'Manual" Therapy version of the course that is designed for bodyworkers.
